Postcard from Viñales, Cuba

Introduction

Small, rural, picturesque and slow, that's the town of Viñales, the main jumping off point for the spectacular valley of the same name. With it's limestone karst mountain Viñales is like nowhere else in Cuba. It's just two and a half hours from Havana but feels a million miles away from the throb of the city.

There's horses to be ridden, caves to be explored, cigars to be rolled (and smoked if you're so inclined) and a growing selection of good restaurants to be sampled. And much, much more. Definitely worth a visit.
