Our Home in Tassie
We live in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Tassie is a fabulous place to live. It has fantastic national parks and wilderness areas where you can lose yourself for days. Tassie also has a well deserved and growing reputation for great food and wine, and on top of that it now has the world class MONA museum.
We want to encourage people to visit Tassie so we've blogged about some of our favourite places and activities. Our aim is not to replicate information that is readily available about Tassie's most popular attractions but about things that are less well known. As locals we think we know about a few treasures that are worth sharing.
What about the rest of Australia we hear you say. We originally moved to Tasmania from Sydney 25 years ago and have travelled extensively around Australia. As time goes by we’re slowly adding more and more about the rest of Oz and we're happy to try to answer any questions people have about anywhere in Australia, but Tasmania is our ''special subject''.
