Introduction

Through 2016 and the first half of 2017 we travelled through 54 countries, in 18 months, including 30 states of the US and 7 Canadian provinces. We learned something new every day.

Since that trip we’ve continued travelling and learning so we thought we'd share some of our travel tips. Hopefully some fellow travellers will find them useful.

We originally labelled this page ''Tips for Older Travellers'' because we'd tried to comment on a few things that we knew some travellers of our age are put off by when it comes to organising independent trips, such as transport (ie isn't it easier if someone organises this for you?) and food and water (ie won't I get sick?). But, we realised that many of the tips are just as useful for younger travellers. So, now we just call it Top Travel Tips.
