Brazil is a huge country and it has it all - fabulous beaches along it's long coastline; World Heritage preserved colonial towns; a vast array of national parks offering a wide variety of landscapes and activities; and then there's the Amazon, with it's incredible diversity. And of course, there are the Brazilian people - warm, friendly and very alive.
Neighbouring Ecuador and Colombia are two of South America's most exciting tourist destinations. We spent two weeks in each getting to know some of their highlights.
We spent a month in Brazil. This was our second visit but we still felt that we'd barely scratched the surface of this fabulous country. Nevertheless, we were very happy with the choices we made and the places we visited. Here is Part 1 of our Best of Brazil.
